Flatulence is a common problem that affects everyone at some time or other. It occurs when you need to drive out the excess air that builds up in your body. The gut from oesophagus to rectum contains a lot of gases, but mainly of nitrogen and oxygen, which is produced during eating and talking. Carbon dioxide is produced when the acid present in the stomach comes into contact with bile and juices from the pancreas. Some of these gases are absorbed into the blood and will be breathed out in due course. The rest is passed out through the rectum.

Tip 1:
Mix 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder with a pinch of asafoetida and a pinch of rock salt, in 1 cup of warm water. Drink.
Tip 2:
Mix 2 tsp of brandy with a cup of warm water and drink before going to bed.
Tip 3:
Chew on some fresh ginger slices that are soaked in lime juice after meals.
Tip 4:
A drop of dill oil in a tsp of honey taken immediately after a meal will help.
Tip 5:

Powder 1 tsp of pepper, 1 tsp of dry ginger and 1 tsp of green cardamom seeds. Mix 1/2 tsp of this mixture with water and drink an hour after a meal

Home Remedy for Eczema

Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis) is an inflammation of the skin with itchy, red, thickening and scaling skin eruptions. Itching is the dominant symptom and can be severe. Eczema is not contagious. The most common type is atopic eczema.

Home Remedy for Ear ache

Earache is the result of infection in the ear area. The middle of the ear is normally filled with air. But during a cold, fluid or mucus gets accumulated in the middle ear and may get infected by bacteria, which leads to ear pain. Even infections that affect the ear nerves can be a cause for earache. There are quite a number of reasons for the earache to occur, and all the symptoms have to be dealt with prompt medical care.

Boil 3-4 cloves of Garlic in some water. Mash them and add a pinch of salt. Wrap this poultice in a flannel or woolen cloth and place on the aching ear. 

Home Remedy for Corns

A corn is a localized thickening of the skin due to pressure. Corns may occur on the top of the toes, at the sole of the foot and in between toes. Corns can be very painful, especially if there is inflammation and swelling around the corn. The Corns may appear as white, gray, yellow and brown in color depending on your skin type.

Liquorices powdered and mixed with either Mustard or Gingili oil to make a paste. This should be applied 2-3 times a day.

Chicken pox, medically known as varicella, is a highly contagious disease affecting mostly children and sometimes adults also. The rash appears on the body 2 days after the person gets infected. The rash forms into blisters, which burst and then scab over. The incubation period of chicken pox is 2 to 3 weeks. People are more prone to the disease during winter and spring season. Home Remedy for Low Blood Pressure

Low blood pressure (hypotension) is the pressure of the blood in the arteries. It occurs when the pressure of the blood is abnormally low. Blood pressure is typically recorded as the systolic pressure (as the heart beats) over the diastolic pressure (time between two beats). A consistent blood pressure reading of 90/60 mm Hg or lower is considered low blood pressure. People with low BP may experience symptoms of dizziness or syncope (fainting) as the blood flow to the brain and other vital organs becomes insufficient.

Soak 7 almonds in water over night. Peel them and grind to a smooth paste. Add in a glass of milk and boil. Drink warm.
Tip 3:

Crush 10-15 holy basil leaves (tulsi) and strain through a clean muslin cloth. Mix with 1 tsp honey. Have it the first thing in the morning.

Powder 100 gm melon seeds and 100 gm poppy seeds (khus-khus). Mix and store in a clean container. Consume 1 tsp with water morning and evening.

A clove of garlic is highly recommended for high blood pressure. Chew one clove of garlic first thing every morning and wash it down with water. The garlic can also be coarsely pound and swallowed with water.
Tip 3:
Make a juice of 25-30 curry leaves with 1 cup of water. Strain and drink first thing in the morning. Limejuice can be added for taste.

In the same manner coriander or fenugreek leaves can be tried they won't harm in any way and at the same time one can find out what is best suited to their system.

Mix 1 tsp honey with 1 tsp ginger juice and 1 tsp cumin powder. Have twice a day.

Tip 1:

Soak 2 tbsp wheat grain, 1 tsp poppy seeds (khus-khus), 8 almonds, 8 water melon seeds and make a paste. Heat 1 tsp ghee fry 2 cloves in this add to the paste mix with milk and drink everyday for a week.

Tip 2:

Soak 1 tsp of alma (gooseberry) powder along with 1 tsp coriander seeds. Leave over night. Strain and add 1/2 tsp sugar and drink.

  • 15-20 crushed black pepper with honey is one of the effective treatment in curing asthma naturally.
  • A half a teaspoon of holy basil leaves juice with half a teaspoon of ginger juice added to 1 tsp honey is extensively used as home remedy for asthma.
  • Add around 8-10 flakes of garlic to a glass of milk and boil it. After it comes to boil, strain it and wait for it to cool. consume each day before you sleep and in the morning.

Constipation in children may be treated with suppositories, and although constipation relief for babies and children may be achieved with  home treatments, they should only be applied upon consultation with your doctor.   • Half a lime, squeezed is a glass of hot water, with half a teaspoon of salt is also an effective remedy for constipation.
  • Other effective home remedy for constipation is, before sleeping drink a glass of warm water with a pinch of salt.
  • Drinking lots of water atleast 10 glasses a day, helps to moisten the intestines so that the bowels move easily.
  • Drinking water which has been kept overnight in a copper vessel, first thing in the morning, brings good results.
  • Drinking a glass of hot water is also known to stimulate bowel movements but this may not suffice in severe cases of constipation.
  • Physical activity is known to help reduce the risk of constipation and practicing yoga can thereby enhance your digestive systems functioning and eliminate or at least reduce the occurrence of digestive disorders like constipation.
  • For severe constipation a cup of apple juice is good.

Home Remedies For Cholera

Cholera is  one of the serious infections of intestine mostly seen during raining season. This disease is mainly seen among kids mostly belonging Asian countries It is a dangerous disease, due to the heavy fluid loss and hence the patient must be treated carefully.
SOME OF THE HOME REMEDIES FOR CHOLERA ARE:-
  • The best way to deal with cholera naturally would be to have lots of water. It is very important to keep the body hydrated, so make sure that the intake of water is high. However, make sure to sterilize it before consumption.
  • Onions are also beneficial in curing cholera. Take about 30 grams of onions and 7-10 black peppers. Grind this mixture and give it to the patient in 2 to 3 dose, per day.
  • Cholera can also be treated by having a mix of water, sugar and salt. Take about 1 liter of boiled water and add 4 tsp of sugar and ½ tsp of salt. Intake this as many times as possible.
  • Lemon juice and orange juice also act favorably in treating cholera. Consume at least one glass of fresh juice on a daily basis.
  • Prepare a glass of fresh juice from cucumber leaves and mix it with a glass of coconut water. Consumption of this juice, in 30 to 60 ml doses, will relieve you off the disease.
  • Another effective treatment would be to consume buttermilk. Add roasted cumin seeds powder and rock salt to it, for better results.
  • Boil a few basil leaves in a glass of water. Strain the decoction, cool it down and have it once in a day.
  • Mix 2 tsp each of bitter gourd juice and white onion juice. Once this solution is prepared, add a tsp of lemon juice. Consumption of this mixture two times daily would help treat cholera.
  • Take three liters water and Add 4 gm of cloves to it. Boil this mixture until only half of it is left. Cool it down and consume it every few hours.
  • A light diet would be efficient in treating cholera. Include rice flakes and corn flakes in your diet. Vegetable soup, with spices like black pepper, rock salt and ginger, will also be beneficial in treating cholera.
  • Black herbal tea is also advantageous to treat cholera. Add ginger, black pepper, holy basil and mint to the tea and consume it at least once in a day.
