Home Remedies For Vomiting

Vomiting also called puking, is emptying the contents of stomach through mouth. It can be either food or liquid in the stomach. More common in childhood and during pregnancy.
SOME HOME REMEDIES FOR VOMITING:
  • Mint juice is considered to be a good home remedy during vomiting.
  • Soak Mustard seeds in water and crush them gently apply this paste on stomach it gives relief from the sensation of vomiting.
  • Take crushed black pepper with salt and simply chew it.
  • Eating Jaggery (gur) with honey also gives relief from vomiting.
  • Drink 2 tablespoons of each Ginger juice and onion juice.
  • Cut a piece of lemon add some sugar and sip it.
  • Chew 4-5 Holy Basil leaves.
  • During travelling in a bus or a train, chew a piece of clove or a cinnamon stick.
HOME REMEDIES FOR VOMITING DURING PREGNANCY
Vomiting during pregnancy is a common side effect of being pregnant. During pregnancy nausea and vomiting prevents women from eating nutritious food. There are thousands of home remedies that are recommended for avoiding morning sickness.
  • Eat a raw mango with little salt
  • Taking lime juice along with lukewarm water at bedtime is a safe
  • High-protein foods like nuts, peanut butter, and dairy products may help ease morning sickness.
  • Plain, whole-wheat crackers, pretzels, plain popcorn, or low-salt soda crackers are your best remedies for morning sickness. Munch them throughout the day and before going to bed.
  • Boil half cup of rice in one cup of water for nearly fifteen to twenty minutes. Take rice water by extracting rice from it. Rice water will help you in nausea.
HOME REMEDIES FOR VOMITING IN CHILDREN
  • Vomiting in children is troublesome, It drains them of all the energy and makes them dull and inattentive.
  • Rest is very important for recovery.
  • Drinking a glass of lime juice proves beneficial for simple vomiting caused due to indigestion.
  • Ginger tea stops vomiting immediately.
  • A mixture of a teaspoon of mint and lime juice each, with half a teaspoon of ginger juice and honey is an effective technique to curb vomiting and nausea.
  • A teaspoon of ginger juice with honey averts nausea.
  • Increase the intake of liquids and water, as vomiting results in dehydration. Fruit juices replace the lost electrolytes, vitamins and minerals.
  • Sip a glass of warm water with two teaspoons of honey in it.
  • A cold compress on the head keeps the child better
  • Avoid solid and fatty foods.
  • Provide comfort and care to your child.
