Home Remedies For Diarrhea or Loose Motions

Diarrhea is the condition where the stools are passed very loose and the frequency of bowel movements also increases. It causes dehydration and it is very commonly found in children as they get infected due to weak digestive system. Home remedies for diarrhea during pregnancy is to replace the lost water and electrolytes in the body. But do remember that these remedies may not cure the underlying causes. Hence it is advisable to adopt medical attention if the problem persists even after trying these remedies for a day.
SOME OF THE HOME REMEDIES FOR DIARRHEA OR LOOSE MOTIONS ARE:-
  • Consumption of lots of water is very important even if you dont feel thirst to save yourself from “Dehydration”.Add a pinch of salt and sugar to a glass of water and consume.
  • Drinking cold water and limiting the food intake can ease the diarrhea home remedies to act and react strongly.
  • If 1tsp of mint juice is given with a 1tsp of lime juice and 1tsp of honey, one can consume this mixture two or three times a day.
  • One can also take 3-4 time a day a  glass of buttermilk mixed with a pinch of salt it provides relief.
  • Banana taken with curd is a useful home remedies for diarrhoea.
  • Pomegranate juice, Orange juice, Lemon juice are all believed to help treat diarrhea.
    Drinking coconut water will reasonably bring relief
    Grate a raw papaya and add three cups of water to it. Boil the mixture for at least ten minutes, after which you can strain it and consume.
  • Tea lovers can make ginger tea as it will soothe an upset stomach. The use of ginger is also recommended in the ayurvedic treatment of diarrhea.
  • Chewing on roasted cumin seeds that are made into a mixture with curd is believed to help improve digestive capacity and is therefore recommended after meals.
  • Some of the other foods you could add to your diet include Apples,Carrots,Chicken soup,Ginger,Potatoes and Yogurt.
