Home Remedies For Eye Infection

Eyes are extremely delicate organs, and an eye infection treatment largely depends on the causes of the infection. There are many causes of these infections; most prominent causes are bacterial and viral infections. Sometimes, such infections could also be caused due to foreign objects like dust and grime that may enter the eye. People who wear contact lenses are most prone to develop such kind of eye infections. If any infection remains more than 48 hour one must take an appointment with eye doctor. Eyes are very delicate and also an important organ, do take proper care of them.
 SOME OF THE HOME REMEDIES FOR EYE INFECTION ARE:-
  • One of the most known home remedies for Eye infection is tea. All you have to do is make a cup of regular (without any tea masala) tea, cool a bit. Then dip a cotton wool in the tea, squeeze the liquid and apply on your eye and lie down with the cotton wool on your eye for a few minutes, you can repeat this a few times a day until you see an improvement.
  • Adding vegetables like Carrot, Tomatoes to your daily diet are very beneficial  when it comes to eye infection and irritation.
  • Cut 2 round slices of cucumber and keep it on your eyes and lie down for a while. This will remove the excess heat and also relax swelling and irritation.
  • Splash cold mineral water (plain water is also fine) in your eyes to remove dirt or makeup.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated water.
  • Soak aloe vera juice in a cloth to be placed over your eyes to soothe them. Aloe vera juice can be used as an eyewash to reduce inflammation and itchiness.
  • You can keep cold bread over your eyes again to reduce inflammation.
  • You can put honey directly in your eyes or make honey eyewash by using three tablespoons of honey in two cups of boiling water.
  • A hot compress is the fastest way for such an eye infection treatment. Simply make a ball of cloth, heat it, and use it to apply heat on the swollen eye.
  • Boil a spoonful of coriander seeds in a cup of water. Sieve the solution and use the water to wash your eyes.
  • For Childrens with poor eyesight give a glass of  milk with saffron (kesar). This improves the vision of the child.
